Dr. Matro specializes in inflammatory bowel disease at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, CA. She completed her medical degree at the Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA, residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, and Advanced fellowship in inflammatory bowel disease at University of California San Francisco.
At Scripps Clinic, Dr. Matro is the Director of the intestinal ultrasound program. She is an active member of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. She serves on the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation San Diego Chapter Healthcare Providers Engagement Committee and Board. She is currently a member of the ACG Training Committee.
