Michelle Becker, PharmD, BCACP, is an assistant professor in pharmacy in the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences and serves as a clinical pharmacist within the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinic within the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She has served the IBD clinic for over 5 years, initially establishing the role of the pharmacist in clinic. She is passionate about effective and safe use of medications while ensuring a medication plan aligns with an individual’s lifestyle and is affordable. Other interests include preventive health, therapeutic drug monitoring, educaiton, and pharmacist practice development.
Dr. Becker earned her Pharm.D. with a concentration in global and public health from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She completed a residency with a focus on ambulatory care at Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
