My name is Ann-Porter Uhlhorn, RN- Coordinator for the LSU GI/IBD Program located at UMC New Orleans. I have been with LSU GI since 2000 and with the IBD clinic specifically since 2015, when the program was started under the leadership of Dr. Kara De Felice. I now work with Dr. Nisha Loganantharaj as the Director of the LSU/IBD program since 2021. We work in an Academic setting taking care of all aspects of IBD care. We follow an array of complex IBD patients with many different obstacles regarding their care. Being a tertiary center, we are sometimes tasked with the most difficult patients from around the Louisiana area, including the Gulf Coast. Dr. Loganantharaj is completing her certification for Intestinal Ultrasound, which will provide another level of care for our patients.
