Amanda Johnson, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic Rochester, where she is a practicing adult gastroenterologist in their Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinic. Her main clinical and research interests are focused on the impact of obesity on the natural history and treatment outcomes of IBD, as well as understanding the most effective and safe weight loss therapies in patients with IBD and obesity. She also serves as the GI Rotation Director for the Internal Medicine Residency program, and is the Associate Chair of the Inpatient Gastroenterology and Hepatology Practice at Mayo Clinic. She is involved with the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation as a member of the Professional Education Committee, after previously serving on the Patient Education Committee.
