Postdoctoral Scholar
Case Western Reserve University
My academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Guru Nanak Dev University, Punjab, India, where I explored microbial genetics and protein expression. Beyond my doctoral research, I have contributed to diverse scientific endeavors, such as exploring natural compounds' anticancer and neuroprotective roles, characterizing protease inhibitors for insecticidal applications, and studying various microorganisms, nematodes, and insects. I continued to pursue my research interest as a postdoctoral scholar at Western University of Health Sciences, Pomona, California, on cardiovascular disorders, particularly the stabilization of atherosclerotic plaques in the carotid artery and investigation of the potential of various compounds to prevent plaque formation and stabilize vulnerable plaques. My current research career is centered on understanding the interplay between dietary components and chronic inflammatory diseases, particularly inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). As a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Nutrition at Case Western Reserve University, I have developed a strong foundation in translational research methodologies. My research experience and dedication to scientific inquiry align with my long-term goal of advancing knowledge and therapeutic solutions in biomedical sciences. My contributions aim to address critical health challenges through innovative and interdisciplinary approaches. I aspire to establish an independent research program focused on cutting-edge questions in dietary therapy in chronic inflammatory disorders.
